About SUTS Events

For over two decades, SUTS (Stars Under the Sun) has been a cornerstone of Florida girls basketball, originally established in 2002 by Paul Torres, Obel Cruz, and Miguel Diaz. What began as a premier scouting service in the tri-county region of South Florida has evolved into a comprehensive platform that not only evaluates talent but also creates competitive opportunities through elite basketball events.

SUTS Events operates as the tournament and showcase division of the SUTS organization, bringing the same commitment to excellence that has made the SUTS Report Florida’s leading single-state recruiting service. Under the leadership of Brandon Fisher, Director of Scouting, SUTS Events leverages extensive basketball expertise gained from his tenure as Director of Basketball Operations at UNC Asheville, his role as founder of Prep Girls Hoops Florida, and his work as a Regional Scout on the PGH Circuit.

Our event portfolio spans high school, middle school, and AAU/travel tournaments, along with individual player showcases designed to provide meaningful exposure and competitive experiences. Every SUTS event is built on the foundation of strong organizational structure, top-tier competition, and a commitment to showcasing the best talent Florida has to offer.

Based in South Florida with statewide reach, SUTS Events attracts elite players, quality teams and organizations, and college coaches seeking the next generation of collegiate athletes. With comprehensive knowledge of players across all classes from 2025-2031 and deep roots in the Florida basketball community spanning more than 20 years, SUTS Events delivers tournaments and showcases where competition meets opportunity, and talent meets exposure.
